Clotheswap has been the recipient of a Canada Council "Digital Originals" Grant.  This means that you can see an online, one time reading of the piece with the original cast for free on November 27th at 8pm, followed by a relaxed talk back:  “Swapping in the Age of Covid”. Does the play make sense in a post Covid world?  Can we use those old t shirts to make new masks?  When we conference call our lives what is lost - what is gained?
This event is completely free to the public and we are encouraging donations to “Sistering”, if anyone has it to give and is so inclined. See links to watch and donate below....

Clotheswap – A Play About Fashion, Community and Change

Clotheswap is a Canadian theatre project that brings together storytelling, humour and meaningful conversations about the clothes we wear and the choices we make. At the heart of the play is the simple idea of swapping clothes — and the much bigger questions that come with it. What do our old clothes say about us? Can something we no longer need become valuable to someone else?

More Than Just a Clothes Swap

Clotheswap explores fashion, sustainability and human connection through an engaging theatrical experience. By looking at everyday clothing from a fresh perspective, the production invites audiences to think about consumption, waste and the ways our personal choices can affect the world around us.

The project also creates space for conversation. From the stories attached to our favourite shirts to the possibilities of reusing and transforming old garments, Clotheswap encourages audiences to reconsider what we already have and discover new meaning in familiar things.
